The TCAG runs a full day camp program during all school breaks and nine weeks of the summer.
Camps are organized according to age group for children from 5 through 11 years of age on a full-time basis.

What Is Camp Like?

Each week of TCAG camp is carefully planned by our staff team and counsellors, and is designed to encourage exploration, creativity and social skill-building. Camp weeks are themed, and often include a field trip, guest workshop, or special theme day!
Here’s what a typical summer camp day looks like:

7:30 – 9:00am Morning Extended Care
9:00 – 9:15am Group Opening Circle
9:15 – 10:00am Program 1
10:00 – 10:30am Morning Snack
10:30 – 11:15am Program 2
11:15 – 12:00pm Program 3
12:00 – 12:45pm Lunch
1:00 – 2:00pm Swim
2:30 – 3:00pm Afternoon Snack
3:00 – 3:45pm Program 4
3:45 – 4:00pm Group Closing Circle
4:00 – 4:30pm Free Time Play
4:30 – 5:30pm Afternoon Extended Care

While we strive to be a fully accessible facility, we currently do not have the staffing to support campers on a 1:1 basis.

For this reason, and to help ensure a successful camp experience for each and every participant, it is important that all campers are able to cope in a busy, highly populated, stimulating environment and are able to follow directions.

Some independence is required for campers to be successful in our camp environment. In addition, for safety reasons, any camper that displays consistent difficulty following the rules of camp, the direction of camp counsellors or refuses to participate will be required to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

We believe in the importance of camp for all kids – if you’d like further information about our partner organizations and finding a camp that might be a better fit for your child, please give us a call at 905-227-0545 ext. 26

Our Camp Leadership Team is comprised of an exceptionally qualified staff.

At TCAG, we invest in a months-long hiring process, consisting of rigorous screening and interviewing, to ensure we have a dedicated team keen and skilled to deliver the best possible summer experience for your campers. Many of our counsellors are experienced educators, or are pursuing studies in teaching, outdoor education, and other related fields!

Our devoted and enthusiastic team of counsellors are motivated to create an environment that fosters growth, empowering campers to explore their natural abilities and understand the value of teamwork and collaboration. Our ultimate goal is to offer an enjoyable and thrilling summer experience that inspires our campers, instills them with courage, confidence, and a strong sense of self, wherever their future takes them.

They have demonstrated their abilities to lead and inspire others, making them exceptional mentors for youth leadership candidates. The primary focus of our LIT counselors is to provide our participants with invaluable opportunities for growth. In our childcare program, we pride ourselves on our dedicated and qualified staff who prioritize the well-being and development of your child. All of our childcare staff are registered Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our facility. We believe in maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism, which is why all staff are required to hold a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Additionally, our ECEs must be in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs, ensuring that they meet the regulatory requirements for practicing in the field.

Continuous learning and professional development are integral to our staff’s commitment to providing the best care for your child. Our staff undergo regular training, including First Aid/CPR certification, to ensure they are prepared to handle any situation that may arise. We also provide in-house training and encourage our staff to pursue external professional development opportunities to stay up to date with the latest practices and research in early childhood education.

With our highly qualified and dedicated team, you can have peace of mind knowing that your child is in the caring hands of experienced professionals who prioritize their safety, growth, and well-being.
