We have some great news! As part of our commitment to improve the accessibility of our building and services, we will be reducing tripping hazards by replacing the sidewalk along the main entrance to our building beginning next Tuesday (Oct 6) through until Saturday (Oct 10).
Thanks to funding provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we’re excited to make this improvement to help community members better navigate into our building and access our pantry so everyone can enjoy the programs they love. However, please note that there will be some temporary changes to access our building during this time (see the below image):
If you are attending a program taking place in the gym, please enter the building through one of the exterior gym doors located along our front paved parking lot.
If you are attending a program taking place in the Boardroom, please enter the building through the exterior Boardroom door that is across from the beach volleyball court.
If you are attending a program taking place in the Upper Hall, please enter through the childcare gate across from the park and go up the stairs to the exterior Upper Hall door.
If you are attending a program taking place in the Lower Hall, please enter through the childcare gate across from the park, go down the stairs, and ring the door bell to the exterior Lower Hall door.
If you are dropping off/picking up your child from childcare, please enter through the usual doors across from the park.

Navigating Around the Building
The driveway around the side of our building where the sidewalk is being replaced may be closed temporarily, however our parking lots will remain open during this time.
Accessing Our Community Pantry
Our community pantry will be moving into our lobby temporary while this work is being done with the hope that we can move it back after the Thanksgiving Monday.
Please keep an eye on our social media for updates and email us at info@thoroldgroup.org if you have any questions.
Lastly, our 5th Annual Open House will be taking place on Monday (Oct 5)! This event will not be affected by the sidewalk replacement, so we invite you to drop in between 4-7pm to enjoy refreshments, touch-a-truck, meet other community organizations, visit with local mascots, and enter to win prizes to Landmark Cinemas and Bird Kingdom!
