– QUALITY, LICENSED CHILD CARE –
Why families choose our child care
With a focus on creating a balanced routine of educational and recreational activities, we strive to create a seamless transition for children as they navigate their day, ensuring their well-being and fostering a sense of belonging in the community.
Our experienced and qualified staff create engaging activities and age-appropriate curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development for each child in our care.

About Our Program
The TCAG’s Child Care opened in 1988, originally located within Thorold High School. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for 154 children annually so they can explore, learn, and grow, while also fostering meaningful connections among families within the community.

All of our child care staff are registered Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our facility.

Balanced Daily Routiness
We combine educational learning, active play, recreation, and rest to create a consistent and engaging day.

Multiple Age Groups
Engaging daycare programming from 15 months-5 years old, and a dynamic before and after school program for kids in JK/SK-Grade 6.

Focus on Belonging
Our activities help children build confidence, friendships, and a sense of connection. We take pride in our culturally diverse staff and families.

In our child care program, we pride ourselves on our dedicated and qualified staff who prioritize the well-being and development of your child. All of our child care staff are registered Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our facility. We believe in maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism, which is why all staff are required to hold a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Additionally, our ECEs must be in good standing with the Ontario College of ECEs, ensuring that they meet the regulatory requirements for practicing in the field.
Continuous learning and professional development are integral to our staff’s commitment to providing the best care for your child. Our staff undergo regular training, including First Aid/CPR certification, to ensure they are prepared to handle any situation that may arise. We also provide in-house training and encourage our staff to pursue external professional development opportunities to stay up to date with the latest practices and research in early childhood education.
