More About Our Camps:

While we strive to be a fully accessible facility, we currently do not have the staffing to support campers on a 1:1 basis.

For this reason, and to help ensure a successful camp experience for each and every participant, it is important that all campers are able to cope in a busy, highly populated, stimulating environment and are able to follow directions.

Some independence is required for campers to be successful in our camp environment. In addition, for safety reasons, any camper that displays consistent difficulty following the rules of camp, the direction of camp counsellors or refuses to participate will be required to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

We believe in the importance of camp for all kids – if you’d like further information about our partner organizations and finding a camp that might be a better fit for your child, please give us a call at 905-227-0545 ext. 26

Our Camp Leadership Team is comprised of an exceptionally qualified staff.

At TCAG, we invest in a months-long hiring process, consisting of rigorous screening and interviewing, to ensure we have a dedicated team keen and skilled to deliver the best possible summer experience for your campers. Many of our counsellors are experienced educators, or are pursuing studies in teaching, outdoor education, and other related fields!

Our devoted and enthusiastic team of counsellors are motivated to create an environment that fosters growth, empowering campers to explore their natural abilities and understand the value of teamwork and collaboration. Our ultimate goal is to offer an enjoyable and thrilling summer experience that inspires our campers, instills them with courage, confidence, and a strong sense of self, wherever their future takes them.

We invest months of effort in screening, interviews, and careful hiring practices to ensure that only the most qualified candidates join our team.

Our LIT counselors are not only experienced educators but also seasoned camp counselors who possess a wealth of personal leadership experience. They have demonstrated their abilities to lead and inspire others, making them exceptional mentors for youth leadership candidates. The primary focus of our LIT counselors is to provide our participants with invaluable opportunities for growth. They recognize and nurture the natural leadership abilities of our youth, encouraging them to reach their full potential. Our LIT counselors instill the understanding of both the benefits and responsibilties that come with being a leader, using mentorship and guidance.

Through a combination of hands-on activities, workshops, and mentorship, our LIT counselors guide participants through a transformative experience. They facilitate personal growth, foster teamwork, and collaboration, and provide a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore and expand their leadership potential.

The ultimate goal of our LIT program extends far beyond the camp sessions. We strive to equip participants with life and leadership skills that will serve them well beyond their time in the program. Additionally, our LIT program acts as a potential employment pipeline, paving the way for participants to secure positions in our summer camp and recreation programs.
