The TCAG runs a full day camp program during all school breaks and ten weeks of the summer. Our camp programs are offered to children ages 5 to 11 years and are organized according to age group on a full-time basis.

WHAT IS CAMP LIKE?
Each week of TCAG camp is carefully planned by our staff team and counsellors, and is designed to encourage exploration, creativity and social skill-building. Camp weeks are themed, and often include a field trip, guest workshop, or special theme day!
Here’s what a typical camp day looks like:

7:30 – 9:00am - Morning Extended Care
9:00 – 9:15am - Group Opening Circle
9:15 – 10:00am - Program 1
10:00 – 10:30am - Morning Snack
10:30 – 11:15am - Program 2
11:15 – 12:00pm - Program 3
12:00 – 1:00pm - Lunch/Pool Prep
1:00 – 2:00pm - Thorold Pool and/or Splash Pad
2:00 – 2:45pm - Afternoon Snack/Pool Change
2:45 – 3:30pm - Program 4
3:30 - 4:30pm - Free Time/Group Closing Circle
4:30 – 5:30pm - Afternoon Extended Care

While we strive to be a fully accessible facility, we currently do not have the staffing to support campers on a 1:1 basis.

For this reason, and to help ensure a successful camp experience for each and every participant, it is important that all campers are able to cope in a busy, highly populated, stimulating environment and are able to follow directions.

Some independence is required for campers to be successful in our camp environment. In addition, for safety reasons, any camper that displays consistent difficulty following the rules of camp, the direction of camp counsellors or refuses to participate will be required to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

We believe in the importance of camp for all kids – if you’d like further information about our partner organizations and finding a camp that might be a better fit for your child, please give us a call at 905-227-0545 ext. 26

Leaders-in-Training (LIT)!

Our LIT program is an incredible opportunity that aims to instill the principles of leadership for future generations.

During each three-week session, LITs will be introduced to leadership, the skills required to be a positive leader in their community along with group work, basic first aid training and team projects. LITs will work towards leading activities for the younger campers and community engagement, along with daily swimming and weekly trips including an overnight session for LITs in session two & four!
